AGES 4-6 yrs

Learn the fundamentals of tennis through coordination skills, dynamic games and FUN!

Orange Ball Tennis

AGES 7-8 yrs

Level 1+2

Learn basic stroke technique, coordination drills, develop rally skills, learn scoring and tennis etiquette

Elite

Advanced technique structured rally, point play and match play. Specific singles and doubles strategies introduced.

USTA Orange Ball tournaments hosted monthly.

Green Ball Tennis

Ages 9-10yrs

 

 

Green Ball Level 1+2

Learn groundstrokes, volleys, overheads & serves. Rally skills, singles + doubles tactics with match play. Upon pro approval.

High Performance-HP Green Ball

Ages 7-10yrs

This program is for highly motivated and competitive tournament players. Players are required to play 1 UTSA tournament a month. *Pro-approval through Junior Tennis Director Jelena Vujicic required.

Junior Tennis

Welcome to The Excellence Tennis Academy. Our philosophy of “get better every day,” is delivered through the latest teaching methods by top-level professional coaches. Whether a beginner or professional, we are committed to offering a full pathway for your tennis development. We are fortunate to be supported by The Excellence Tennis Foundation and Five Seasons Sports Clubs. With their support we are able to offer some of the lowest priced training in the country, as well as scholarships to a majority of our players.

JV Beginner

Ages 11+yrs
First time players to the game. Learn the fundamentals with basic ground strokes, volleys, scoring and coordination skills.

JV 1 & 2

Ages 11yrs +
Structured point play, serving, singles and doubles strategies. Players further develop their rally skills in this class.

High School Training Center

Ages 14+
For kids wanting to play on high school teams or currently playing on JV level teams. More advanced level singles and doubles skills are taught. The players also work on structured match play skills.

In-house tournament nights hosted monthly.

EX & ACADEMY

In our most intensive program, players will train daily. Individual technical time and fitness training are included and packaged together to reward this commitment.

Monthly Drill Options

Our Drill and Play clinics consist of weekly themed practices with emphasis on double tactics, strategy and situational point play.

Clinics: Senior Drill & Play, Men’s Night, Morning Joe, Round Robin, Cardio Tennis, Pickleball.

Tennis Professionals

Annette Cremin

Annette was born in Modesto, California where she became a top ranked junior. At the age of 15 she competed in the Jr. Nationals in Japan and also trained there for one summer. While attending the University of the Pacific on a full-ride scholarship, she was named to the Division I PAC-10 Northern-Cal team, four years running. She was voted Team Captain for 3 years and MVP in 1984. After graduating with a degree in Business, she moved to Japan where she played professionally on the women’s Satellite Tour. Annette has been a certified USPTA Elite Professional since 1992. She was the Head Tennis Pro at Butterfield Country Club for 8 years and the Director of Tennis at Oak Book Racquet and Fitness Club for 5 years before coming to Five Seasons. She comes with over 25 years of teaching experience. Annette is thrilled to now direct the tennis program here at Five Seasons!

Tim Jessup

Tim was a two time All-American at the University of Tennessee. He has won 4 National Junior Tournaments and has represented the United States in the Junior Davis Cup Competitions. His impressive record includes wins over Mal Vai Washington, Todd Martin, and former Wimbledon Champion Goran Ivanisevic. Tim has been coaching tennis at Five Seasons since the club’s opening. We are very lucky to have him on our staff!

Mazen Amin

Mazen was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He reached a career high ITF junior world ranking of 24 and was as high as 473 in the ATP world rankings. He was also part of the Egyptian Davis Cup team as well as being a singles and doubles All-American at the University of Alabama.

Mazen has worked with several of Egypt’s top juniors and was one of the junior Davis Cup coaches for them in 2017. He has also had stints coaching at the Nick
Fustar Tennis academy in Santa Clara, CA as well as helping out with the University of Alabama’s men’s team during his fifth year of school.

Jeff Neuman

Jeff was raised in Downers Grove, IL, in a family that now spans 4 generations of tennis experience. He is the proud father of triplets: Alex, Eddie & Hannah, who all play college tennis. Jeff comes to Five Seasons having taught tennis as a Head Professional for over 25 years. He is certified by the USPTA and PTR. Jeff also serves as the Chairman of the Junior Competition Committee for the USTA Northern Illinois District and is a member of the Midwest Section’s Junior Competition Committee. As a player, Jeff earned rankings on the ATP Tour: #443 (singles) and #670 (doubles) and won the 1989 USTA Satellite #5 in Hawaii. At Oklahoma State, Jeff earned NCAA Div. 1 rankings: #6 (singles) and #10 (doubles), won Big 8 Conference Championships at #1 Singles, #1 Doubles & the team event & was named the Big 8 Player of the Year. In junior tennis, Jeff earned a national ranking of #23, won the Midwest Closed Singles and Doubles Championships, earned a Sportsmanship Award given by the Midwest Section & again at the B18 National Hardcourt Championships.

Jelena Vujicic

Jelena comes to us with an International Tennis background. Born in Zagreb Croatia, Jelena Lived and went to school in Bahja Luka Bosnia Herzegovia for 6 years then went on to HS in Rijeka, Croatia. Jelena came to the states and played at Illinois State University where she graduated with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in PR. During her playing years at ISU, Jelena played #2 Singles and #1 Doubles her sophomore year. At the Missouri Valley Conferences, Jelena won the Doubles championships and placed 3rd in singles. During the next 3 seasons, Jelena went on to win the regular season and individual Missouri Valley Conferences as well being selected to the all MVC Team. Jelena is devoted to her career as a professional Tennis instructor. She is certified by the PTR at level 1.

Miriam Kurdaze-Ondik

Miriam was born and raised in the Republic of Georgia. She comes to Five Seasons having been a 3 time All American at Tulane University. Miriam ranked No. 6 nationally and No. 2 in her age group while playing in Georgia while also reaching a No. 23 ranking in Europe in the under-16 age group. She was a member of the Georgian National Team and played WTA since 2005 until getting admitted to Tulane University as a four-year full scholar-athlete. At Tulane she played #1 singles and doubles all 4 years and was team captain 3 years. She was the top NCAA Division I ranked tennis player both in singles and doubles. 2 time Women’s Tennis Most Valuable Player (MVP). 3 time First Team All C-USA player. Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s Freshman of the Year in 2009. Most recently a lead coach at Lakeshore Sports & Fitness since 2015, ran cardio tennis, U12 & 14 groups, and coached several kids to Division I tennis scholarship. Teaching since 2008 and a co-founder of Pro-South Tennis Summer Camps for Juniors.

Jake Wilson

At OPRF Highschool, Jake helped his team place 3rd in state for 2 seasons. At ISU, besides earning top spots on his team, Jake earned a BA in Statistics. Today, Jake gives the same work ethic to his students each time he walks onto the court. Jake has a diverse background in coaching. He was the head JV Girls coach at OPRF Highschool. This experience led to coaching High Performance kids who went on to play in college. As a mentor and coach, Jake started traveling with high level nationally ranked and ITF players in the Caribbean and other cities in the US. Presently, Jake now enjoys teaching to all levels of Tennis including adult and children’s beginners. Besides being a great coach, Jake is a team player and we are lucky to have him at 5 Seasons.

Chriss Schaefer

Chriss has had a life-long passion for tennis. She played and competed throughout high school as well as at the University of Wisconsin. She has won over 17 USTA National Senior Championships and played on 3 USTA Senior World Cup Teams – Austria, Germany, and Turkey. She has enjoyed teaching tennis since 1968 and was one of the most sought after pros at Oak Brook Racquet and Fitness Club for 35 years. As a certified USPTA pro, she promotes tennis as a life-long sport filled with socialization and lessons to carry into your daily life. Chriss also loves playing paddle tennis, golf, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. Five Seasons is very excited to have Chriss on the professional team!

Jim Bisbee

Jim has been teaching this great game for almost 20 years. Originally from Michigan, Jim spent the last 2 years of high school lat Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy. While there, Jim played on a state championship team. Later, he played on a full scholarship at St. Leo College in Tampa, Florida. Jim has been with Five Seasons since the club’s opening and has been with the USPTA since 1984. He has a great energy on the court and knows how to keep players motivated!

Dan Shoop

A well-known and respected USPTA professional, Dan comes to our staff with over 30 years of teaching experience. He is currently the Head Pro and Edgewood Valley CC where he has been leading the tennis program for the last 17 years. He comes with us with an outstanding tennis background in working with juniors, ladies, and men. He directs our High School training center on Sundays. Dan is an excellent competitive player himself. He has won many Men’s Pro Am events in the area from the Salt Creek Bring-A-Ringer to the Butterfield CC men’s member/pro event. His tennis achievements and outstanding work ethic are an example of this personal tennis abilites. Dan is a fantastic addition to our highly acclaimed tennis staff.

Christian Moreno

A native of Downers Grove, Illinois, Christian is a USPTR Certified Pro with over 18 years of Coaching experience. As a junior player he achieved District and National Rankings. Christian attended high school at Downers Grove South and Saddlebrook Tennis Academy in Florida. He went on to play for Bradley University Men’s Tennis Team. He has coached all ages and levels from beginners to college scholarship recipients. He specializes in technical development and fast paced drills. He leads our men’s 4.0 and 4.5 team drills. His high energy is contagious. Christian enjoys playing with his two kids and still competes in area adult tournaments.

Sue Elliott

Sue brings 40 years of Tennis experience to 5 Seasons. Her first Teaching job was at Walt Disney world Resorts instructing clinics to Hotel Guests. In the Chicagoland area, Sue has instructed and led various programs at the Private and public club levels as well as serving as Head women’s coach for Elmhurst college. Together, Sue’s summer and college programming produced high success with the winning combination of returning players and many trophies with high place finishes. Sue’s highest Tennis rankings were in Doubles. #3 Doubles in Midwest sectionals as well as #5 in singles. #2 Doubles in women’s 25’s (FTA) Florida. At UIC/Chicago, Sue served as captain for 2 years as well as playing #1 Doubles. Sue now enjoys lifelong friendships with Tennis players from all over. Sue is also a PTR Certified Professional.

Erin Henrickson

Erin has resided in the Western Suburbs her entire life and began playing tennis at the age of 6. Her parents, who were avid tennis players themselves, inspired her love for tennis. Erin attended Hinsdale South High School, where she had four successful seasons on the Varsity tennis team. Throughout high school, she competed in numerous USTA tournaments where she obtained National, Midwest, and CDTA rankings. While attending Carthage College from 2011 to 2013, she held one of the top Varsity tennis positions each year. Erin is certified in 10 and Under by the Professional Tennis Registry, the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals. Erin is one of Five Seasons’ new youth tennis pros, and if you have any tennis related questions, look for her at the tennis desk – she is glad to help!
