Kids Fitness

A balance of both fun and fitness activities geared for ages 5 years and older.

Aqua Aerobics

Shallow and deep water full-body workout, working your cardiovascular and muscular system using water bells, kick-boards, and weights.

Pilates & Barre

Mat Pilates is performed on the floor using a yoga mat and various props. The main fitness goals of a Mat Pilates program includes improved flexibility, muscle tone, body balance, spinal support, low back health, sports performance, and body-mind awareness.

Yoga, Pilates, Barre

Mentally and actively let out tension using stretching, breathing and relaxation techniques. While building your core strength, also will provide deliberate and intense muscle engagement.

Cycle

An intense cardiovascular workout using stationary cycles. Instructors use music and verbal clues to simulate cycling on roads and trails. While it is a super-intense workout, it can easily be modified for anyone, even beginners.

Fitness & Bootcamp

Five Seasons Sports Club has state-of-the-art fitness studios that include cardiovascular, free weights, pilates, bands and tubes, and spinning and aerobic studios. With the certified personal trainers on staff, Five Seasons will rival anyone in the area.

Personal Trainer

Heather Verst

Heather is a NKY native, earning her BA in Recreation and Fitness at NKU in 2004. She began her training career here at Five Seasons as in intern while she was in school and soon after became an integral part of the Fitness Dept. team. She has taught classes both in water and on land, worked with members one-on-one and in groups, and has been certified in group exercise, spinning and personal training.  She is passionate about helping each of her clients reach their fitness goals while having fun and enjoying the process.

Level 4 Trainer

Dave Miller

A graduate of Ohio University, Dave has over 35 years’ experience in the fields of competitive sports,coaching and fitness training. His specialties include functional fitness training for optimal strength, mobility and flexibility, balance and agility training, core strength and stabilization and weight loss. He also specializes in sports-specific training and youth athletic development to increase strength, speed and agility, coordination, and to prevent sports-related injuries. Having worked directly with orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists for almost 20 years, he is skilled and experienced in joint and back surgical pre-hab and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Certifications: ACE and AFAA Certified Personal Trainer, Red Cross CPR/AED

Shirley Richardson

Shirley is committed to helping you achieve your fitness goals.  Combining her experience as a personal trainer and yoga instructor to work harmoniously in building strength, flexibility and endurance; meeting you where you are at this moment with careful consideration in fostering an exercise program with safety, sustainability an enjoyable format kept in mind.

Shirley is an avid outdoor enthusiast and graduate of Life University with great parents, and formerly trained in martial arts-valuing and displaying respect and camaraderie amongst all.  Her goal is to make you feel and look healthy, fit and happy.

Certifications: International Fitness Association, Group Exercise and Personal Training; Yoga Instructor.  AS&HI AED/CPR.  Licensed Cosmetologist, NKY Tech College.

Level 5 Personal Trainer

Nancy Hicks

Nancy graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Fitness. She has been with Five Seasons Family Sports Club for 25 years. Her areas of expertise include injury prevention, transitional post-rehab training and overall fitness. She works with all levels of fitness especially helping seniors keep active.

Pilates Reformer Instructor

Caroline Ritson

Caroline graduated with a BS from Northern Kentucky University. She works with clients on the reformer, an apparatus which allows you to work in many planes of motion with full range at each joint. Each session builds lean body strength, optimal core control and increased flexibility. She is trained through Balanced Body, a nationally accredited company and has over 1000 hours of instruction.

Certifications: Reformer 1 and Reformer 2 from a master instructor who is an international fitness educator and trainer.

Level 3 Personal Trainer

Chelsey Sheehan

Chelsey was a stay at home mom of three when she discovered her passion for fitness! A devoted soccer player thru high school and avid runner throughout her twenties, when she completed numerous races, Chelsey found her place in the gym when she began weight training. She likes to keep her training sessions challenging yet fun where she incorporates anything from weight training, to cardiovascular training to high intensity interval training depending on each client’s specific goals. Chelsey is driven by her client’s success in and out of the gym and relishes in pushing them to feel and look their best!

Certifications: Personal Training Certification by International Sports Sciences Association

Yoga & Dance Instructor

Arra Bella Rose

Arra is an accomplished dancer and teacher having trained in ballet at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Hollywood, CA, where she spent five years as an actress and dancer. She also trained at the Cincinnati Music Academy. She taught American Style Ballroom Dance at Arthur Murray and Fred Astaire Dance Studios, and now offers private and group ballroom dance lessons, wedding choreography and private beginner ballet. She is also certified in Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage by the Cincinnati Yoga School. She offers private yoga, breathing technique, mediation and Thai Yoga Massage to her

clients.
